I’ve been battling kidney disease for two years-OJB

Music producer and singer, OJB Jezreal, who is currently appealing and soliciting for funds for a kidney transplant has revealed that he has been battling kidney disease for the past two years.
OJB, who produced Tuface’s two first solo albums among many other hits and who discovered acts like Ruggedman told this much to The Entertainer earlier in the week at Silver Point Studios, Surulere, Lagos: “I was diagnosed with renal problems as a result of high blood pressure. I have been battling it for two years and within those two years I had relapses but it wasn’t as serious as it is now. Doctors made me realize that it was caused by my high blood pressure.
“By the time proper tests were run, it was revealed that both kidneys had gone white so when we started treatment, I was showing full symptoms of renal failure. Both kidneys had packed up! At a point I had swollen feet and legs. I have been on dialysis for over two weeks now,” he said.
OJB also revealed that in the last two years he has spent millions treating the condition: “Personally, in the last two years I have spent close to four or five million; that’s just being modest. We were using private hospitals and I wanted to keep it to myself. But it got to a point where my doctors realised this was beyond what they could handle so they had to let go and refer me to LUTH. Renal problem is something a nephrologist has to handle. This is a case of renal failure here. Both kidneys are gone!”
