Matters Arising Ruth Kadiri heavy with child

Actress, Ruth Kadiri, is poised to thrill movie buffs as she acts the role of a heavily pregnant woman in a new move entitled Matters Arising. The star of Sincerity
who also wrote the script for Matters Arising spoke to The Entertainer on her current project.
“I am so excited about this project. Matters Arising ex-rays issues in polygamy. It is the story of a young man who got married to two women. The second wife becomes born again, which becomes a problem in the home as her new found faith poses a serious challenge to her marriage and by extension a test of her faith and the story begins to unravel. I act the role of the first wife who is heavily pregnant woman in the movie,” she revealed.
Commenting on how she was able to interpret her role she said: “I have never been pregnant before but I had to bury myself in that character by studying and mimicking what pregnant women do. It was quite challenging.”
Also starring in Matters Arising are Oge Okoye, Mona Ibekwe and Jim Iyke to mention a few. Kadiri has featured in over 30 movies since she ventured into the movie industry.
Heart of A Fighter, Daniella Queen of The Jungle, Sincerity Soul Transfer and Blood or Wine is some of the scripts Kadiri has penned for Nollywood.

I’ve been battling kidney disease for two years-OJB

Music producer and singer, OJB Jezreal, who is currently appealing and soliciting for funds for a kidney transplant has revealed that he has been battling kidney disease for the past two years.
OJB, who produced Tuface’s two first solo albums among many other hits and who discovered acts like Ruggedman told this much to The Entertainer earlier in the week at Silver Point Studios, Surulere, Lagos: “I was diagnosed with renal problems as a result of high blood pressure. I have been battling it for two years and within those two years I had relapses but it wasn’t as serious as it is now. Doctors made me realize that it was caused by my high blood pressure.
“By the time proper tests were run, it was revealed that both kidneys had gone white so when we started treatment, I was showing full symptoms of renal failure. Both kidneys had packed up! At a point I had swollen feet and legs. I have been on dialysis for over two weeks now,” he said.
OJB also revealed that in the last two years he has spent millions treating the condition: “Personally, in the last two years I have spent close to four or five million; that’s just being modest. We were using private hospitals and I wanted to keep it to myself. But it got to a point where my doctors realised this was beyond what they could handle so they had to let go and refer me to LUTH. Renal problem is something a nephrologist has to handle. This is a case of renal failure here. Both kidneys are gone!”
